This simple guide has been developed to provide users with practical assistance on applying the Task Audit template. It is intended to provide a link between the professional standards likely to be applied in the conduct of an audit engagement and the resulting programs, checklists and working papers that should be completed within an engagement file.
The guide is not designed to provide a comprehensive handbook detailing the theoretical and practical steps behind conducting an audit.
All members of the engagement team must have a working knowledge of the Australian Auditing Standards (ASAs) and associated professional standards, guidelines and pronouncements.
