The Auditing and Assurance Standards Board has revised and redrafted the Australian Auditing Standards. The new 'Clarity' standards are operative for audits and reviews of financial reports with reporting periods commencing on or after 1 January 2010.
In response to the introduction of 'Clarity', Task Technology is pleased to announce the release of this minor update which caters for review engagements (such as half years).
This release does not contain a Full or Patch update to the Audit AU template as Task Technology updates normally do. Instead, this release contains a simple Document Library file which can be used to drag the relevant documents into existing engagement files.
The Document Library contains the following documents:
- 25-190 – Program - Review of a Financial Report (ASRE 2410) – CLARITY
- 25-191 – Program - Review of a Financial Report (detailed procedures) – CLARITY
- 55-105 - Engagement letter - Review Engagements – CLARITY
- 55-115 - Management representation letter - Review Engagements- CLARITY
- 70-105 - Review Report - CLARITY
To install this update:
- Click the attachment below and press Open.
- Click Next and accept all defaults.
- Click Finish. Instructions on how to update engagement files will appear after the installation.
- Click Close after the installation.
Please note that a major release for full-year audits under Clarity is scheduled to be released in November 2010.
