How to use the Time Tampering Cleaning Wizard

When the system clock is modified CaseWare will prompt the user with the Time Tampering Cleaning Wizard (Refer to: Figure 1).

To clean the time tampering you need to do the following:
  1. Ensure the system date has been restored to the correct date and time.
  2. Tick My date and time are ser correctly. Click Next.
  3. Select Obtain Cleaning Licence (Refer to: Figure 2). Click Next.
  4. Enter your details (Firm and your name) and ensure you enter support@task.com.au in the support email field (Refer to: Figure 3). Click Next.
  5. Review the email before sending. Click Send (Refer to: Figure 3). This will send an email to Task Technology.
  6. Task Technology will send you a response with an attachment (i.e. lsclean.txt). Save this file to your CaseWare folder.
  7. Using the wizard, select Use Cleaning License (Refer to: Figure 4). Click Next.
  8. Browse for lsclean.txt using the wizard to correct the problem (Refer to: Figure 4). Click Next.
  9. The Wizard should now inform the user that the Time Tampering  has been removed.
  10. Try reopening CaseWare Working Papers.
