How do I insert Page Breaks within the Notes to the Financial Statements?

Inserting Page breaks within the Financial Statement notes assists us in adjusting the page layout and orientation settings.

However it is important to insert page breaks correctly, otherwise it may impact upon other components (E.g. Carry forward headings).

Note:
  • For Page Breaks to work properly they must be inserted on a Paragraph using style Nt Text.
  • You cannot insert Page Breaks within a Table.

Follow the steps below to insert a Page break above and below a Note:
  1. Select the Nt Text paragraph you wish to add the Page Break to.
  2. From the menus, select Insert | Page Break. The appropriate screen will appear.
  3. For the Page break type select Next Page. Click OK. The page break will now appear.

Note: If there are no Nt Text paragraphs available (above / below the note) follow the steps below to insert.

Inserting a NT Text paragraph depends on the previous note’s format.

Paragraph Notes:  Should be using a style with the prefix Nt Text. To add a new paragraph for the page break follow the steps below:
  1. Place the cursor at the end of the Text Paragraph.
  2. Press ENTER on your keyboard. A new paragraph will appear below. This is where you insert the page break (Refer to: Figure 1).

Table Notes: To add a new paragraph for the page break follow the steps below:
  1. Place the cursor anywhere on the table.
  2. From the Financials menu, select Section | New Paragraph After Table. A new paragraph will appear below the table using the Nt Text Level1 style. This is where you insert the page break (Refer to: Figure 2).

Note: Page Breaks around the Main area of the Statements use the zPageBreak style. These pagebreaks are setup by default and should not be removed.
